Not sure about the pipe bombs. Kitchen timer detonator. Not clear it was ever activated. Or maybe it was and didn't detonate? No way to select a target with that. Was around both DNC and RNC HQs. What is the general thinking with the pipe bombs?

Well just threatening is illegal, acting on it during a protest is even more illegal. Breaking into the capital building and searching for politicians while the capital police are shooting people probably legally qualifies as “tried”

The 2020 riots were a result of people protesting police brutality, which everyone should be against and protesting, but usually they riots were incited by those not sympathetic to the cause (ie white supremacists, police, etc.)
The Jan 6th riot was a result of people trying to overturn a fair election and force their will on the country over the will of the people in an election. They took this action upon themselves, and were proud of it. They planned it quite publicly, and even HAD T-SHIRTS MADE AHEAD OF TIME.
