2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.
Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

The combination of getting sniped on Burrow and having to reach for Herbert really hurt what this team could have been.
What QB's were available at the Bowers pick? I love the TE room but maybe passing on Bowers here might have been better.
I ended up getting 3 shares of him after this all in round 7.
Caleb and Brock are the only two QBs that went between Bowers and my pick of Herbert. I guess I could have taken Purdy at 100 but meh on a single stack. Figured I could push it to 117, especially having Herbert as backup.
I could have pushed Herbert from 117 to 124, so it wasn't quite as much of a reach, but I view that area of the board similarly and valued locking in Herbert over 7 picks of value from round 10 to 11. It kind of worked out, because I've been wanting to increase my Herbert exposure. I'm only at 4%. Pulled Polk up to 124 for Maye outs + w17 correlation.
I guess I wasn't paying enough to attention to how QB thirsty the room was. Lamar/AR (lol w14 byes) on the same team at 46/51, and then took Bryce in round 18. CJ/Burrow on the same team at 80/89. Love at 85. Cousins went at 132.
Nice team.
I'm not a fun of the Parham pick. I heard he is fighting for a job.
Wanted Ertz . Thought he’d combo well with hock but I got sniped .
Quinn with some positive Ertz speak.
He should be good atleast at the beginning of the season . I assume Sinnott will eventually eat into his snaps.
$5 SE. Such a mess. One guy drafted Love and every Packer except LLoyd, including Jacobs+Dillon and Musgrave+Kraft. The best part is he has 0 bring backs from any of their weeks 15-17 games.
I just balls to the wall stack and said eff ADP in this one. I wanted Muth and/or Knox but got sniped on both.
QB - Mahomes, Trevor, Fields
RB - Kamara, Pollard, Chandler, Mitchell, Roschon, Shipley
WR - JJ, Nico, Hollywood, Worthy, BTJr, Meyers, Gabe, Roman, Austin III
TE - Schultz, Fant
Fast puppy just barely got in at 99.9% full. Pick 1
This is what it looks like with a Kamara on my team.
I foolishly took Ladd, and Palmer trying to set up a Herbert stack in a situation where it was very unlikely he would make it back.
Why is it so hard not to take Bowers when maybe I should take another WR?
QB) Hurts, Watson
RB) CMC, Kamara, Singletary, Chandler, Dobbins
WR) Metcalf, D Smith, Ladd, J Palmer, Jeudy, D Robinson, J Baker, Mcmillan, M Washington
TE) Andrews, Bowers
He'll probably be very good for the first half of the season and we will be kicking ourselves for drafting Sinnot over him.
That makes sense. Was Dulcich available? I think he is gonna be moving up the board here pretty quick.
I don’t remember wasn’t looking for him .
You took Metcalf in the 2nd ? Your wrs are a tad weak but overall this team is really strong
Did this one stoned so no clue if it’s any good.
Qb : Burrow , Herbert
Rb : Bijan, Rashaad, Zamir , Robinson jr, Estime
Wr: Adams , Evans , Flowers, Thielen , Gabe, Mooney , Burton , Roman Wilson , Juann Jennings , Hyatt , Elijah Moore
Te : Kittle, Bowers
I need to fire mine soon with it inching towards filling. With the fast puppy full, will probably fire the $5 SE, $15 SE, $9 3 entry, and finish my $3 (6 more to go).
I find it very difficult to pass on Bowers unless I'm specifically filling a QB stack or desperately need RB. I really don't like drafting a WR in that range over him.
I'm flexible on CMC builds. I'll do Achane/Saquon/Kyren at the 2/3 turn sometimes. I'll do QB/TE or QB/RB at the 4/5 turn. But I always try to make sure to have 4 WRs through 7.
Saquon really goes that late on UD? He goes in early round 2 and sometimes round 1 on DK.
Haha. I've got some drunk and stoned doozies.
Overall, strong at the onesies. RBs good. Hopefully the WRs can be made up with volume. I would have at least added QJ/Chark and maybe Iosivas along the way.
My best looking builds have
5 WR, 2 RB, 1 QB, and 1 TE
thru the the first 9 rounds
Second best is to go 4 WR and then pivot somewhere else. I usually do that if I find some great value.
Yeah, he's got an ADP of 20.2. He started near the top of the 2nd and has been gradually falling all summer. I've got a couple of early third shares. He was early to mid third in the pre-draft contests before the Eagles signing.
That start definitely feel cleans. And if I'm punting one spot, it's usually QB. Occasionally, I'll really push RB, but I don't do that very often.
Got sniped on chark . I’m out on QJ after that report
Yeah, tough to say how reliable that report really was, as I think it was speculative more than anything. The coaches and GM keep talking him up. But it could be bs.
I’m at 30% QJ so I can completely fade him now and be fine either way .
I think this is my first Henry one, but I like getting HOU/BAL stacks without Lamar or Stroud. Almost grabbed JJ as a 3rd QB, but didn't think he was needed.
QB - Allen, Love
RB - Henry, Ekeler, Spears, Benson, Elijah, Dillon
WR - JJ, Tank, Reed, Coleman, Gabe, Polk, Corley, Chark, Reynolds
TE - Andrews, Musgrave, Knox
Russ is washed
