I would have accidentally flicked a lit cigarette into it. Several times, if needed.

Because they don’t have the majority on their side. Trump lost by millions of votes in BOTH elections, and will lose by millions in this election as well.

GOP policies are not popular to begin with. Put ******* Trump on top of that **** salad and the GOP gets even less popular, hence Trump losing by 6M+ in 2020.

But you’re not looking in the right places if you’re not seeing bold Trumptards. I just yesterday was ̶

You are right. That is truly ominous and disturbing. Unlike the peaceful, virtuous display that took place at the Capitol today. Again my apologies for attempting to derail your very serious concerns with the nothing burger that went on in front of Congress today.

As an aside, at least the Netanyahu effigy (which was later burned in ritual fashion) didn't go too overboard with the pronounced Jew lips and nose, although you can tell they really went for it with the ears. Clearly your boat picture is way worse and I should stop minimizing the very real trauma it brought you with such silly nonsense.

Again my apologies

You apologize, but then you do it anyway. Which makes you like most Trumptards; a disingenuous *******. Now **** off.

You are right, I keep doing it. I can tell the picture of the Trump flag on the boat really traumatized you. Unlike the survivors of 10/7 who were subjected to American rioters dressed as terrorists waving Hamas flags and taunting them that Hamas was coming to finish the job, who are just being big babies.

If you ever want to go over the trauma cased by the boat flag and maybe get some closure, my PM box is always open.

I said **** off, dummy. You on ignore now. Bye.

“They go crazy when I say ‘The late great Hannibal Lecter,’ OK. They say ‘Why would he mention Hannibal Lecter, he must be cognitively in trouble,‘” Trump said. “No, no, no. These are real stories, Hannibal Lecter from ‘Silence of the Lambs,’ he’s a lovely man he wants to have you for dinner he’d like to have you for dinner.”

Imagine actively rooting for this guy and being shocked people think you’re what’s wrong with humanity

Apparently it's a joke. MAGA humour is.... something.

i guess i can see the joke/troll, but it's essentially indecipherable from all the stuff he spews that maga base takes seriously. maybe it's all one giant troll and maga is a dark knight joker movement that just wants to watch the world burn. respect

You can? What is it?

hannibal lecter is a real story and a lovely man that would like to have you for dinner. didn't say it was a good joke

The "having a friend for dinner" line is straight from the movie. Horsenut will vouch that I am a man of lols and merriment, but I honestly fail to see how quoting this line absent all context is in any way even supposed to be funny.

I would have you over for dinner

We might need to do something about your awful politics first, then sure.

Thx for the precision 😀

i really think it started because Trump doesn't understand that political asylum is different than an insane asylum.. and he was too dumb to know that the word asylum had more than one meaning, and now he's just stuck trying to play it off like he meant it the whole time.

Why is it so important to you to equivocate and/or compare them?

[...]

What you're doing makes zero sense.

by MrDavitWilliam P

It makes sense if (a) he/she’s just a dumbass troll or (b) he/she is trying to justify to themselves the unjustifiable position of being a Trump supporter.

Yeah, I don't understand this mode of posting where we act confused/surprised when Trumpers post dumb trolling dogshit. Is it really confusing to you why a Trump booster is making bad-faith smears against BLM? I guess the pretense is supposed to be polite or something but it doesn't really make sense to me.

If you are speaking to or about me here, the purpose is to lay their deception bare. This has two purposes:

1) to make sure that disinformation does not get spread with no resistance
2) to whittle away at the protective barriers the poster has erected around their worldview.

To elaborate on the second point a little: I was one of them for about half of my life. What finally broke me out was having my pants pulled down in front of an audience like this repeatedly. I started to learn to actually make sure what I was saying was true before I said it - I would look things up first. This made me learn what was actually true and not just what I wanted to hear.

It was a gradual process, but I'm so thankful for it. If I hadn't been repeatedly called out on my bull, I shudder to think about what I would be like today.

You make a lot of good points here, but I feel like this creates a weird kabuki theater vibe where absolutely no one is posting honestly: we pretend in bad faith that we don't understand why right-wing trolls are downplaying an attempted fascist takeover of the US Capital. You can't really push back against right-wing nonsense effectively if you pretend you can't understand what's happening.

by Trolly McTrollson P

I'm not pretending not to understand, I'm simply exposing it. Nowhere in any of my posts was I pretending to not understand.

If I ask my son "so why does the light change to yellow before it changes to green?" while teaching him the rules of the road, does that mean I'm pretending to not understand?

It means you're being incredibly patronizing. Which might be appropriate when you're teaching a small child about stoplights, but it's weird to see adults interact with each other in this way.

Yes. Incredibly patronizing was exactly what I was being. Sorry if it's weird, but I don't apologize for it.
