Right, so we are in agreement that he meant those words in the most obvious interpretation of them. I am saying that if he did not intend that meaning, he would have chosen different words, or at least clarified what he meant.
Or he just doesn't give a **** and he's quite happy to have everyone once again talking about how he's going to destroy democracy because he's shifted the Overton window into some other solar system at this point and figures it gets his base all fired up when he makes the libruls mad. I think what I enjoy most about the Vance trainwreck is how difficult it will be for the party to extricate themselves from if it comes to that. If The Donald is serious about appointing a VP who will gladly overturn the election result if it goes against him he's reduced the pool of picks to 100% MAGA fools and he's probably going to run into trouble of some kind from whomever he chooses.

That does a very sane and balanced job of explaining what Trump is actually most likely to do (should he win). He's already used and benefitted from the same methods already. It's not as gloomy as some suggest in here. But it's also pretty bad and would take decades to undo.
It's an excellent podcast. The Putin takes in it are also very strong.
