Dems primarily need to just not court controversy and let Trump sink himself. Walz is just a safer pick.

There were slightly different political pluses and minuses for Walz v. Shapiro, but my guess is that Kamala's odds of winning would have been more or less the same either way.

the (new) definition of "antisemitism" is anyone who doesnt support Israel's criminal apartheid torture rape occupation regime.

I'm no expert, but I think antisemitism has been around a bit longer than the last 8 months or so. I don't recall any dictionaries changing their definition of it in that time either.

I agree I doubt either one has an impact. If Harris can perform well in the debates and interviews the way Trump is going she is the favorite . The ratings for a JD Vance/ Walz debate are not going to be good

Definitely need to slip some mountain dew and couch references in that one.

But what about Hunter Biden's laptop?

Don't forget Benghazi.

Her emails!

Why wouldn't antisemitism piss off the far left? Are you suggesting that the far left is antisemitic?

Right wing dorks don't really get how much 75%+ of Jewsh Americans voting Dem in presidential elections really undercuts the antisemitism charges. It's some sort of hidden antisemitism that only people willing to tolerate "Jews will not replace us" chants can see.

Even if its not democratic?

There's no requirement limiting how a political party opts to choose it's candidate. Primaries and delegates are not needed. If the party chair has authority, and the members allow it, then one person can pick the nominee.

This has been explained in this thread approximately half a dozen times in the last couple of weeks. I don't know who these guys think they're fooling with this act where they pretend those posts don't exist. I suppose it plays into the standard right wing mindset of "if I remain ignorant, I can pretend reality is whatever I fantasize it to be".

we got AOC/ilhan omar to Manchin to Republican Larry Hogan all endorsing the Walz pick.. just amazing levels of dems and non-maga's in "array".

It's funny that nobody from the "unfair" political party are complaining. Only the maga crowd.

My only connection to the younger crowd that seems to care about politics (my niece) texted me "great pick by kamala".

Market halting is meh. No one cares if it halts temporarily. They care when their net worth is crushed.

If "brrrrring" refers to money printing you probably should take a moment to look at a long-term graph of M2 then delete your post.

Wealthy MAGA Evangels want to control the vote.

ProPublica: "Inside Ziklag, the Secret Organization of Wealthy Christians Trying to Sway the Election and Change the Country"

A group coming together to vote for one politician and encourage others to do likewise is completely unheard-of in the history of the US and it must be stopped. Thank you for sharing this.

Markets go up. Markets go down.

I agree it is typically beyond silly to blame short term volatility on something like a future presidents odds going up.

In saying that dems deserve a hell of a lot of credit for inflation and slowing economic growth for their work in getting the votes to shut down large parts of the economy, increasing the size of the federal gov't, printing money at a faster rate and giving out so much money during covid. Remember that kamala was pro handouts while trump and repubs were fighting (fairly unsuccessfully) to keep more of the economy open/opening back up faster and giving out less handouts.

Facts

I had hoped Walz would be the pick. I really like him.

Shapiro is like Buttigieg in that he’s too ambitious for a deputy role, will be a future presidential candidate himself one day, and Kelly looks like he’s never taken an order from a woman a single day in his life. Wasn’t a fan of either.

Do I contact a mod to have it deleted? Plz halp

bahbah telling other posters that their posts are embarrassing and should be deleted is not without a generous dollop of irony.

This overstates things. They recieve public funds to run their primaries. If republicans tried something like whites only are allowed to vote that would certainly be illegal. The point is Democrats are following all the rules. Biden won the most delegates have been released by him and now Harris has the nominee. Doing anything else would be changing the rules on the spot that all primary vters went to the polls voting under.

market UP 2%!!! I'M RICH BITCHES!!!!!!!11

"this is life changing"

Trump and the Republicans making a mess of the Covid-19 response likely cost you an added 300 000+ deaths and probably in the ballpark of an extra trillion dollars.

Wow! Sexism much?

I caught a 4 day ban for a similar comment but not the mod

But there's no rule that says they need to have a primary. Plus, they could just name a majority of "super delegates" of their own choosing where the primary results (if they had one) wouldn't matter.
