2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

If I recall, you said you were a desktop drafter. If so, SpikeWeek DraftIQ would probably be worth the investment at your volume level. It’s $39.99/mo.
In real-time, you can see certain player combo exposures, exposure of that specific player across the slate, exposure in that specific contest, etc. There is an option to see % with first TE drafted. So assuming you had drafted G

I'd go LaPorta and Flowers or Rice
What about kelce and rice to build stack ?
I personally think Kelce will have better year not sure why Laporta rank higher on underdog, DK kelce is ranked higher
RB Chris Evans of the Bengals is out for the season. Does this increase the odds that the Bengals go after Perine if he is cut? I've been very nervous about the Moss/Brown situation. Both have been a fade for me. I know a ton of people are all over Chase Brown right now. This backfield has me nervous. The narrative is that you want the Bengal RB's but if they aren't good does it really matter? They may be good but they might not.
Usually I like to go 1-3-5-1 in the first 10 rounds. Tonight I tried something a little different and went 0-4-4-2.
Also if I'm going to play JJ/Darnold, then I'm going full blown Vikings stack.

I think the thought is Mixon isn’t good either and he produced. Volume can trump skill. Plus, Moss and Brown have some upside traits. I think both have been great zero or hero RB targets since if either or both hit, it’s a boon with the strength of your other positions.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Peyton was sick enough to carry 5 RBs lol.

Bully TE generally does not do well in practice or sims. It’s the lowest scoring position on average, and when you take a TE this early, you want to bet on him hitting your lineup every week. And most of the time, you’d rather a RB/WR hit your flex.
I think you should take at least one WR here, but if you don’t want to, Kelce/Mahomes would be a lot better than Kelce/LaPorta. And then likely need to take 2 WRs at 60/61, regardless.

Here are last two year's winning BBM lineups along with some other information that may or may not be useful.
Two things that stick out are
1. Go young, especially early on in a draft.
2. Go for players that finished reasonably well the previous year.

All three are solid picks and have their own pros and cons.
One other positive I forgot to mention with LaPorta is, assuming this is a playoff pod contest and not the marathon, w17 correlation with Deebo.
Now that the Puppy is live, you should definitely fire that instead of anymore SNGs.
For sure. I can still play the $3 beginner SnGs because I haven't hit 50 drafts yet. Fun to mess around when there aren't any sub $10 contests running
I fired my 3 max FLOCK entries last night and had to pick from the 1.08, 1.10 and 1.12. I hate all of my teams. After the draft I look at the other teams and go oooh I like that build, oh snap nice team etc and then look back at my team and go yeah no shot dumbass.
Gonna fire a bunch of puppies today. Maybe I can cobble a team together worthy of posting.

Are there any other higher cost players as options?
Both White and Mostert are probably fine, but not the most exciting keeper. In theory both are “value” but in reality I feel like the players in that range normally go for way under their projected price, so prefer to not keep them as they are pretty easy to get for a bargain anyway

Both QBs seem attractive but I don't think I want to keep 2 QBs in a 1 QB. Despite passing TDs being 6 pts QBs 7-14 tend to go between $15-$4.
RBs in the 20-25 range (where i think zamir & raheem are) tend do go for around $38.

Hollywood is tempting but you can almost for sure get him for about that price or less and he’s not that exciting anyway

I didn’t mean to draft Gus + Dobbins, but I think it’s probably fine. Wanted 3 QBs but couldn’t get Geno so was too hard to correlate
