Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
It’s funny how all these radical Zionist are brought to my attention by Hamas supporters. Their Twitter isn’t even cracking 1000 followers. You guys are really tapped in, aren’t yah?

by checkraisdraw P

Yeah you didn’t read it did you? Every single one of the professors’ statements and twitter activity was sourced

why would I read anything from the ADL? they are a spy organization that supported some of the worst people in history.

by 72off P

yeah that was pretty funny.
we were taken out of context! to clarify: we stand by everything we said, and so does everyone other zionist

and apparently the guy on the left worked for netanyahu at some point, so it's not even like these are just two random shithead podcasters

lol oh ****, how did I miss this one

comparisons are illegal but hopefully there is an exception for pro-Israeli Jews comparing the Gazans to holocaust victims and gloating over it.

by jalfrezi P

This guy gets it

lol, ask the non bumi Malaysians if they know anything about being a 2nd class citizen. What a ****ing hypocrite.

Gotta love how strict some of these guys are about vetting sources, meanwhile they are plastering posts from random Twitter accounts all over the thread.

Well no one cares if you read the ADL because you’re an antisemite. However, in the context of what you were replying to, I was providing evidence that people in the US did support what happened on Oct 7, which that article set out an unimpeachable case for that.

Lol yeah this one was particularly funny

Jalfrezi prefacing it with, “This guy gets it” makes it almost seem like intentional comedy.

I know that when I want a nuanced and open-minded take on the Israel-Palestine conflict my go to is definitely an Islamist who supports literal Apartheid in his own country, supports his own countries laws making homosexuality illegal, who is being investigated for stealing billions of dollars, and whose citizens regularly use the Israeli flag as a doormat.

Interestingly, it is being reported that Sinwar is actually increasing his demands for a ceasefire, to include several thousand extra militants in Israeli prisons (many with life sentences for murder) on top of Israel completely leaving and even handing over all the buffer zones; in exchange for pretty much nothing.

Sinwar's goal has always been perceived as isolating Israel and opening a multi font war. With Tehran backing down this seemed unlikely for awhile. However, with things heating up in Judea and Sammaria, along with continued low level fighting with Hezbollah in the north, it appears Sinwar wants to see how things progress, and is purposefully torpedoing any ceasefire for the moment, by making sure his demands are completely unreasonable.

"its being reported..."

So sinwar wants israel isolated and figthing a multi front war.

maybe israel should replace netanyahu with someone who tries not to help

"its being reported..."

https://www.axios.com/2024/09/05/gaza-is...

--Yes. Which is interesting because these same people have been running a full court press on Netanyahu for months without even acknowledging Hamas wasn't even attending ceasefire negotiations. Maybe the US feels it has gotten the concessions it wanted from Netanyahu; but of course it is all for naught if Hamas isn't interested in a ceasefire (which obviously executing hostages is a pretty strong indicator)

they executed the hostages bc they didnt want another repeat of 200 murdered for funsies like at Nuseirat. trolly problem I guess, but we all know how most liberals would not value 200 or 200k Gazans at the same level as 6 occupation soldiers. Hamas took that play off the table. not saying I agree, I am Western liberal after all.

regardless, Barak Ravid was (if not still is) an Israeli intelligence officer for one of the most brutal and murderous departments in the illegal occupation regime.

https://archive.ph/AY2tx

now, on to the article itself. this is what it says

Hamas usually releases public statements about this type of stuff. remember that for months they wanted ALL Palestinians released even if it was just for a single Israeli. they have obv come way down and last I heard it was 250.

so its kinda weird that there is no link to any Hamas statement. so its just "trust me bro."

this is even weirder bc the article even admits that Hamas has not been showing up to talks.

so it might be correct, but I dont think that we should just be taking the word of a hostile likely spy.

Or Hamas could have just released the hostages and not had a repeat of Nuseirat. Easily debunked, don’t even need to read past that.

Israel just executed an American (white) women in the West Bank. lets see if it gets a fraction of the outrage that the American POW IDF soldier got.

Doubt it will, and for good reason. Going to wait for more info since you didn’t provide any (for obvious reasons). Anyone with a brain can deduce that the situations, conditions, and context are completely different and the 2 killings are most likely not comparable at all. Although, that won’t stop the dishonest comparisons from being made.

Here are some peaceful residents from the West Bank.

Figured we might as well continue the tradition of posting contextless images.

shot straight in the head. I would post the pics and videos but then I would get banned.
