2024 Fantasy Football Thread

Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.

But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.

Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.

What do we like and not like?

Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

I'm in a very unusual position of having Kyler and Mahomes as my QBs.

This is a 10 man 1/2 PPR league on Yahoo Public. Another important team note is I have Pacheco as my RB1 on IR now.

I'm curious about any ideas or takes regarding this situation. The team is 2-0 right now so I'm not panicking. My WRs seem strong. With the QBs, Mahomes has had 14 and 15 pts the past couple games so it seems like he could have a mediocre fantasy year similar to last year. But losing Pacheco could force them to pass more. Kyler had a huge game last week and he started going to Harrison and McBride during the game so hopefully the Cards can keep getting it done through the air.

I got offered S. Diggs and T. Lawerence for Mahomes, but easily turned it down. I don't need WR help and I'm going to want a starting player in return for Mahomes. I could wait and see how both guys do in week 3 to see who I should lean on more. But I could try dealing Mahomes. Any thoughts or ideas in this situation?

If you can turn Mahomes into a stud RB I would do that. I'm nervous about the two tackles on the Chief offensive line. The rookie left tackle was benched last week. The right tackle is a penalty machine. They have lost Hollywood for the year. I fear that Worthy might get tossed around a little too much. He may not get it going until later in the year. Kelce looks slow. You may need to wait for Mahomes to have a good game before trading him. In a ten team league I don't see any reason to have a second QB when you have a stud starter.

Thanks for the input man.

The guy who offered me the trade has Henry, Kamara and Dobbins as his RBs. Another team has Mayfield at QB right now and he has Montgomery, Kyren and Mixon at RB. Dobbins seems like the most realistic deal ATM. At the same time, I heard someone on YouTube say Dobbins is a sell high right now, as he was expecting injuries to eventually play a factor with him.

Just trying to get an idea of the right value for Mahomes. He was a top 3 QB in the preseason. He hasn't done well for fantasy, but is seems like all passing stats have been down the first two weeks across the league.

I love Dobbins but I'm terrified about him staying healthy. I'm nervous about the Raven interior line play so I don't know about trading for Henry. I can't imagine he'll trade Kamara. The Rams are a dumpster fire so I'd stay clear of Kyren. Mixon would be nice.

I think you should be patient and hold out for a good deal. Somebody will be desperate for a QB at some point.

Good luck!

Now that Bryce Young has been demoted we will get to see just what we got with this Carolina offense. There is still hope for my Brooks and D Johnson shares.

I'd probably take Kyren for Mahomes. Hard to get much more of a better RB for a QB in a 10 team.

In a 10-team, Mahomes might be the only tradeable QB

Dalton led the offense pretty well @Seattle last year with a far worse OL.

Dalton is a deep 2QB play, but this does make Diontae/Hubbard playable, right?

I think so. Bryce literally could not sustain any kind of a drive. But keep in mind the total on Carolina-Raiders is really low 40.5

As I said earlier, I'd be trying to acquire Brooks.

Is 2 firsts enough to get Nico from a team that started 0-2 in dynasty?

Start 10 sf ppr 1.5 tep

ETRs dynasty calculator says it’s an overpay, but I don’t think they’ve updated Nico’s ranking up yet

Would all depend on their roster construction. If they need to do a tear down, Nico is one of the guys they're going to want to keep and dump their older guys. If they have a terrible QB situation then they need those picks to bolster that position. I really wouldn't want to give him away but 2 1sts makes it damn tempting. I think it's a solid offer and try to talk to him that he needs those points off his roster to get a premium draft pick.
Is the 25 draft supposed to be any good?

Based on what I’ve read and heard, WR has some strong talent at the top and RB is both strong and deep. This RB class should be much better than 2024.

QB and TE, not so much right now. Although, as always, QB will be over drafted IRL chasing upside. But none of the prospects are high end.

But I don’t follow college football prospects that closely until draft season.

I’m not sure I’d take 2 firsts for Nico, but 10 tm makes it a little more attractive. Definitely not an overpay after seeing the first two weeks.

tough year on the wire for deeper leagues, what with scoring down.

Truly scraps!

Hard to remember a year with so little on waivers the first couple weeks. Injuries piling up

Gotta change my tune on Quentin Johnston now that waivers have run and $26<$33 plus I have to face him this week.

Trying to unload Mr Ezekiel Elliott and getting nothing but crickets. Declined in 1 for 1 trades for bench guys Chase Brown, Diontae Johnson, Christian Kirk and Jerry Jeudy. #sad!

His next move might have to be an unceremonious dump to waivers for Houston D

Would trade either QB for the best rb you can get. Walker might not play this week and ford is in a committee. Zack miss could be a decent play vs Washington but rb is definitely where I would try to upgrade. Dobbins does have injury risk but I would take him if offered

No sense having both QBs. Move one.
Try to trade one to the person you're playing on the QBs bye week.

Great work by Swift.

Also, Saquon is still who people were worried he was. But the elite environment is propping him up so far. Funny to see Singletary on the complete opposite side.

All the Khalil baby

Don't see any of the hive mind talking about Jauan Jennings as an add. He's not going to be some league winner but given the continuity he has in the offense and how barren some wires are there are worse adds for an emergency fill in I think. I mean 4 targets from that offense is like 10 Will Levis targets.

I agree!

The Niners made it a priority to resign him this off season. He is a quality WR. I wouldn't be shocked to see 5/60 and maybe a TD. The Niners will probably struggle without Deebo and CMC but I can see Jauan being a comfort target for Purdy. I don't know how much they plan to use Cowing who had a great offseason.

I hope it’s coming, but these Bears coaches leave a lot to be desired.

I hope you are right I have a good amount. Swift was an easy fade in drafts which lead me to a lot of Herbert.

by Slighted P

haven't played fantasy in like a decade got talked into a college friends league this year.
12 team, .5 ppr, 2wr/2rb/flex 8th pick.

QB- williams, stafford
RB- kenneth walker, aaron jones, rhamondre stevenson, ekeler, mclaughlin, ty chandler
WR- chase, marvin harrison jr, waddle, xavier worthy
TE- kittle

so i'm 2-0 and i think i need some QB help with williams not panning out so far and Stafford losing all his weapons. tried to get Carr but my waiver prio was too low.

FA options are like: Darnold vs. Hou, Herbert vs. Pit, Watson vs NYG, Minshew vs Car

which FA are we feeling?

i'm thinking about trading for CJ Stroud to an owner that hasn't started him either game, not sure what that value is. someone also dropped TUA because he already had someone in an IR spot, so i put in a waiver claim for my IR but i'm not sure i'll get him.

Shane Waldron got a bad wrap in Seattle and it seems to be carrying over to Chicago. I don't like to dunk on coaches because I don't have the full context of the situation. That being said, you look at what Clint Kubiak is doing in NO and it makes you wonder if Waldron's time in the NFL has passed him by.
