Ok Newsom's admin is saying that Panera would still qualify (which I don't understand why), and Subway would qualify because even though it bakes bread, it doesn't sell bread it sells sandwiches whereas Panera actually does sell bread.
It only applies to fast food and the $20.00 hr minimum wage . You think Subway would fall into that . Oh wait I do not think the owner is Gavin's friend or donates enough
The laws seems even more odd that it is only targeting fast food places. If you want to punish businesses why only pick on fast food? MW laws already hurt far more poor people than rich people, but to really stick it to poor people we are going to drive up the cost of fast food while nice restaurants that you can't afford are un-effected.

Lower taxes and existing MW and it isn't close. With MW being a state issue there will always be states that are willing to give the poorest of Americans a chance to work so they can earn and learn a skill.

I mean, old people vote. I don't think they care as much about an old guy as the average 2p2er.
old people have seen loads of their friends deteriorate, often in a matter of a few short months and in devastating fashion. they know better than anyone how someone that age can fall apart in a matter of no time. my 92 year old granddad laughs at the idea of 85 year old biden being president (in between the 19 hours a day in which he is sleeping or napping), because he knows how preposterous that is
my personal view, which could be wrong, is that people vote on feel and optics rather than policy, and having a young (relatively speaking) sharp looking fella out there who can land a quip on trump and throw a decent first pitch prior to game 1 of the world series means a lot more than policy positions

i see no point leaving biden for trump for age reason.

trump has his gaffes for sure, but he speaks quickly and with confidence and this inspires a belief that he's mentally present
imagine neither men are famous, if you see trump wandering around a park you think he's an old man going for a walk but if you saw biden you'd be concerned he had alzheimers and wandered away from the old home accidentally
