Netflix "Watch Instantly"

Netflix "Watch Instantly"

I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream a movie over the internet. The selection of movies/shows is subpar, but it's free baby! Well, free as in no extra charge. You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.

Bitconned on Netflix is great.

1.5 hour documentary about some guys that created a crypto, wallet and fake debit card/app (Centra Tech), used random pic for CEO on website, etc. So much crazy stuff happens.

Dave Chappelle: The Dreamer is on Netflix now. Did not disappoint.

I haven’t really enjoyed his specials in awhile. I feel like him & a lot of Rogan’s crew just complain about cancel culture.

I find it as tired as airplane humor. I want jokes/funny stories not to be lectured at. Maybe his new one is better, but that’s the vibe I got from his recent stuff.

Reacher S2 release schedule, for those of us waiting impatiently for the next episode...

Reacher Season 2, Episode 5: Thursday, December 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET
Reacher Season 2, Episode 6: Thursday, January 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET
Reacher Season 2, Episode 7: Thursday, January 11 at 8:00 p.m. ET
Reacher Season 2, Episode 8: Thursday, January 18 at 8:00 p.m. ET

I'm waiting impatiently for all episodes to be in so I can binge it. I just can't watch stuff weekly anymore. I lose interest or forget about it. If I can't watch it all now I am not interested. Loved season one of this and really want to see the new season.

How to say you are 'leftie', without saying you are a 'leftie'...

I remember watching a Star Trek - The Next Generation episode titled "Darmok" in which Picard is stranded on a planet with another person. Picard ends up telling the other person an ancient Mesopotamian myth about Gilgamesh and Enkidu. Those two names somehow stuck with me after that episode.

Years later, I use to read a cryptocurrency web page touting the seemingly endless creation of new crap coins. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when one day I saw a Gilgamesh crap coin and a Enkidu crap coin. There were dudes continuously rolling out new crap coins hoping something moons out of dumb luck or false hype.

I stopped watching A Murder at the End of the World after 3 or 4 episodes, but after seeing ads for it at the end of commercial breaks while watching Fargo and seeing reviews ranging from great to boring decided to give another go.

I just finished it, and I am going with boring, if you never watched this, you will have missed nothing. It could have been better, but just too drawn out.

Also finished Obliterated on Netflix, It's a solid 7 for mindless entertainment. Nothing special .

Slow Horses good or nah?

I finished Slow Horses, it's good, I don't like as much as some on here, but it's good.

It's renewed for 2 more seasons.

Slow Horses good or nah?

getting insanely good reviews in the other tv threads - have not seen myself

Slow Horses S3 was fine. Some really good high spots (usually when Gary Oldman was on screen) undermined by shoot outs and action sequences that were as dumb as something you'd see in The Expendables, without the irony.

Season 3 is a bit simpler?, with fewer twist/turns type things and more set action pieces that it could easily lose. Still a cut well above.
If you are just starting the series, it's a rare treat. Enjoy.

Watched the first 2 episodes of The Brothers Sun on Netflix. It's good.

Only part of it is foreign language. It's Brad Falchuk on his own without Ryan Murphy. No sign of gay/trans yet, I guess that is all Murphy.

+1 This is essentially what I was about to write.

I'll watch anything with Gary Oldman. He has been around a long time with a lot of films under his belt. Some films were hits and some were straight up bad, but the good was real good right from the beginning like "Leon: The Professional" and a damn good performance in "State of Grace" with Sean Penn and Ed Harris almost 35 damn years ago.

It actually pissed me off

I mean, the guy was so dumb that he got away with it.

"your honor, I was high all the time, I didn't know what I was doing"

Rat **** had "loyalty" tattooed on his body.

State of Grace is a movie that truly does not get enough love.

Yeah I felt like the plot was silly (and lol at the entire sequence in the records building, which I think took 2 full episodes). I also felt like it needed more of Oldman and Jackson Lamb, felt like almost a cameo for him this season.

That being said it's still enjoyable entertainment.

His smugness came across as unbelievably annoying. He has no head for business, and he has no intelligence, but he did find the infinite money glitch - just start some business with partners, steal everything you can from it, then rat them out and get off scot-free.

Did catch a few references to him dropping tons playing poker and at the casino, hopefully some people here benefited.

My favorite was the lawyer they hired. lol

I think I watched it before, but I am really enjoying season one of Loudermilk. Episode 6 was probably the funniest thing I have seen in 6 months.

Slow Horses took a steady dive throughout S3. Oldman was carrying the show entirely by himself. If there's a season 4 I'm not sure if I'll bother watching.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, I still think the first 2 seasons were great and highly recommend.

I loved s3!

I liked it but would of definitely preferred more Oldman and Kristin Scott Thomas.

I'll still watch it but waiting for the season to be over so I can download all episodes.
