Netflix "Watch Instantly"

Netflix "Watch Instantly"

I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream a movie over the internet. The selection of movies/shows is subpar, but it's free baby! Well, free as in no extra charge. You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.

I’ve already seen the entire season 3 of Shoresy, but it drops on Hulu, or has already dropped. I won’t spoil but I think it’s their best season and probably the best season of the entire Letterkenny universe.

I think the only way to have any clue if a movie has a good chance of being good is based on the director then of course you can read the script see how that is but if you're making a movie with the coens, marty, fincher, QT, mann, ridley scott or andrew dominik etc chances are it's gonna be great if you sign up for a film with michael bay you have a good idea what you're signing up for.

the real unknown is when you do a film with a 1st tim

COOL POST RBK TY FOR SHARING.

Hell yeah. Didn’t know S3 was already out.

Came out Friday here but it aired in Canada 6 weeks earlier.

The "Ren Faire" doc on HBO is a freaking trip! Stylistically, it's pretty amazing the footage that was captured. As a doc, it's ridiculous. It's got a bit of Tiger King, a bit of Succession'y stuff going on. Incredibly entertaining. And the best part... 3 episode and I could've watched another 5. Haven't seen a current documentary that left me wanting more in years.

oh man that makes me very happy to hear.

i used to go to the renaissance fair with my family every year when I was a kid and LOVED IT.
everything from the amazing costumes to the giant turkey leg to the jousting (the fair we went to was a really big budget high production value affair not like some of the cheap shitty fairs I've seen footage of on YouTube) it was just the best thing ever for a young boy who wanted to be either a knight of the round table or the lone ranger.

when I saw the banner ad for the ren fair doc was not expecting much so glad to read your review.

I know I'm super (no pun intended) late to the party but I never watched the boys as I just have no interest whatsoever in superhero stuff but my wife watched it and loved it so I checked it out and was just instantly hooked what a fantastic show.

Late to the party but X & Pearl are both top tier horror movies from A24. Both on paramount +, and I think on max as well.

Can’t wait for the final in the trilogy this summer. Maxxxine.

listen bro no one cares what you think if you're late to the party.
don't show up after everyone has seen something and be like herp derp I never bothered to watch this but now that everyone else already has and loved it let me chime in to say I love it too!

that's just stupid unnecessary and pathetic bro get a life.

Hahahaha!

Boys season 4 is really good so far. It dipped a bit season 3. Very happy they are ending it after season 5. Should be great.

😀

btw I don't remember was there any discussion about civil war?
very curious what the thread thought about it.

Loved X and for some reason I never watched Pearl. I need to remedy that.

thought X was meh...haven't watched Pearl.

the horror movie I'm really looking forward to is Osgood Perkins' Longlegs. With Nicholas Cage and Maika Monroe. Speaking of Monroe, she and the director of her amazing film, It Follows, are making a sequel called They Follow. Can't wait.

In the movie thread. Some Americans were really shook by the watching experience, but said it kind of didn't stick with them. I was disappointed they spent so much time on the random photographer characters instead of the actual war.

Watched the bear season three in maybe two days but also fast forwarded most of 1.5 episodes.

Hmmm? Know nothing about the bear but don't understand fast forwarding anything? If something needs fast fowarding it simply doesn't need to be watched. If I don't like something nothing could intice me to fast forward and then keep on watching. If I have to FF any of it there is probably something else I would rather watch.

Some shows have either some characters, or plot lines, or flash backs that you may not care for even if you like the rest of the show.

A reasonable example is probably shameless.

I watched it. It was beautifully shot, especially the action scenes.

I wasn't sure what Alex Garland wanted the audience to think about the main characters, or war journalists in general.

I know that some people were disappointed that there wasn't more of an explanation about how the war started, but that was obviously a deliberate choice, and it didn't bother me.

Watched Reptile yesterday. Decent start that had a True Detective vibe, then completely fell off to your standard crooked cop movie.

Im guessing the pregnancy scene and tinas flashbacks? me too lol, I found s3 ok but a drop in quality from the first 2 seasons, It felt like nothing happened all season.

I finished S3 last night and was very disappointed. Felt like nothing happened, only to end on a cliffhanger. Terrible season.

Yeah to anyone that hasn't watched season three yet I'd wait for season four and watch both together. It's a filler season.

Felt like they didn't have enough material for the number of seasons the network wanted and they needed to stretch things, with the writers strike probably making that worse.

It will be hard for anything to come close to the greatness of fishes ( christmas dinner) and forks ( richie interning at Ever) in season 2. those were GOAT episodes

Season 2 of Troppo is July 25th, I see season 1 got lost in the shuffle and still need to finish it. I saw some good reviews on here of it and others look good also. Prime/Freevee.

I watched the first 2 of Orphan Black Echoes with Krysten Ritter, it's a good watch. AMC.

The Ark Season 2 is July 17th on SYFY, even though I said last year that it sucked after the first 2 episodes, seeing a new season was coming gave it another try and finished it. It is watchable space SYFY, nothing great. I will watch Season 2.

SnowPiercer Season 4 got moved to AMC and is July 21st, I try every season to watch it and can only handle a couple episodes and quit, I will try again since I think/hope it's the last one.

61st street season 1 was a decent crime drama, it got moved to CW for season 2 on July 22nd.

Another new season of Futurama on Hulu July 29th.

A new show in the Hard Knocks family "Hard Knocks offseason" episode 1 was good with NYG, will watch.

Completely agree. S3 was awesome. I could have watched an entire episode of them doing the truck promo.
