President Joe Biden

President Joe Biden

Right now, we need VP Biden, we need him to step down and drop out so Bernie sanders can save this country from this global crisis just like FDR.

A thread to debate the efficacy of a Joe Biden Presidency in the midst of a global pandemic and impending Great Recession/Depression.

Where is Joe Biden? Can he beat Trump and is he even trying to? What would a Joe Biden Presidency look like in these times? Where is he and why isn't he leading?

I can't for the life of me figure out what your owl is sitting on.

Damn, I never saw it as an owl but my eyesight is bad and I never enlarged it. I thought it was a human head and shoulders with eyes from beneath an S&M rubber mask/batman type mask.

You’re not the first to say this actually

On the other hand, Donk always looked like an owl.

I can't predict who will be the upcoming Democratic presidential nominee.

But I will predict who will be the vice-presidential nominee.

Actually I didn't predict it, it's still unlikely, but the best choice.

Barack Obama

That's what I said, but no one believes me that he can be.

if his fit to be president then he should be.
fwiw the presentation was bad but the content was fine.
imho he just need to not reply to trump attacks but just to answers trump baseless claim with what actually joe did and what trump ask republicans to oppose all the policies and work democrast did post 2020 shrug.

Did u actually hear trump promote any policies at all ?
His got nothing to offer.
that is what joe need to focus on, what he did and

Everyone knows Trump has no policies, and his supporters dont care. The point of this debate wasn't to see who has better policies. The point was to gauge whether the candidates, especially Biden, looked like they were too old to be President 4 more years. And Trump gave a C performance and Biden an F.

What does "fit to be president" mean? He has become very feeble, has to be lead everywhere, and he cant hold a thought very long.

And the real problem isn't even what he is like today. It is extrapolating out one or two years. When it starts to go, it isn't like you hit some lower equilibrium and stop. It just keeps going and going and going. I have been saying this for 5 years, and it is going exactly as I predicted.

Even a year ago there was videos of Biden riding a bike. Can he even do that anymore? Looking how he had to be lead off the stage at the end of the debate I seriously dont know.

Is he even going to be able to walk on his own or hold a thought at all in 2 years. I seriously dont know that either. But I am not tremendously optimistic based on the rate of decay being observed in real time.

No campaign in their sane mind would introduce the constitutional quandary of submitting a VP candidate who is ineligible for the office of president

His replacement is Donald J. Trump.

We already have someone who's been standing up to the Deep State all his life. It's crazy to replace one corrupt politician for another, who's goal is only to get rich and not look out for the well being of his brothers and sisters of this planet.

Don't let the fake state propaganda mockingburd media brain wash you into thinking Trump is just an evil dictator who's trying to take over the world, that's l

Amazing. He was president for four years and he couldn't do enough to stop the "deep state" to prevent them from stopping his reelection?

Even if I thought the deep state was a problem, I would consider him the person least able to change anything.

But this part is clearly incorrect. Have you read the relevant amendments 12 and 22?

you would lose your house, shoes everything if you ever offered to place a bet on this.

That’s the entire point, David. It would be a bone of contention enough so that it would outweigh the benefits and won’t be risked.

I saw that one website only and assumed it wasn't really a bone of contention. Th author is not chopped liver.

And even if it is a bone of contention, if that tactic gave the democrats the best chance of winning the presidency why would the risk of having the vice president disqualified be a risk that outweighed the benefits?

Obama won’t be willing to do it for exactly the same reason. You’re forgetting that.

Are you saying he wouldn't do it even if it was clearly legal, because its angle shooting? Even if that was the best way to stop Trump?

In any case I sent the article to my cousin, Stanford Law Prof David A Sklansky. So we should know shortly if the Georgia guy's arguments are ironclad or not.

It’s Biden all the way with democracy on the line they say

Looks like everyone is falling in line behind Biden as the next night he was capable of reading a tele prompter. Amazing how his cold is miraculously cured

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/msn...

The courts would shoot down Obama vice presidency

Move on

Obama would be a very interesting SCOTUS pick though, for a democrat president

Why did the Biden camp allow him to debate? Trump is very tough to debate with period, let alone against a frail Biden who has serious cognitive decline the past couple of years. Biden had a great State of the Union speech or whatever he spoke earlier this year - he seems fine reading a teleprompter but any thought process and he gets exposed.

Because they feared the ads

"Biden refuses to debate trump because he's senile and can't answer questions without a teleprompter "

They insisted on trump not interrupting him, no audience reactions, hoping joe memorized enough answers that he wouldn't should sound incompetent

The plan backfired
The rules forced trump to not come off as unhinged
And Joe did horrible

He was also behind in polls, especially in key swing states polls.

There is a generic idea in literature that debates usually, on average, are advantageous to whomever is trailing in polls

I'm saying Obama is not going to destroy his fairly pristine legacy as the first black president by becoming known as the angle-shooting third term president instead. He is wealthy and retired, not an altruistic madman.

Btw as a short aside, I was thinking of you (or rather her) the other day and wanted to ask a random question- did you guys keep Simi (or however you spell it) the bengal cat longterm? Did it have a good life? Brandon kept Winston.
