IDK where you're from, but it doesn't sound like you're American. In US both parties support military 100%. Also, the GOP guy literally tried a coup and keeps pushing it. During the coup attempt people died. They intended to hang the vice president to prevent democracy from happening. There's levels.

sounds like he should be in jail. is he?

by housenuts P

lol. i onboarded it.
that's not my primary concern.
my main concern is crypto friendliness. fwiw Trump was not particularly friendly during his first term. his treasury secretary Mnuchin was outwardly hostile. he seems to have changed his tune. could be just words.

but biden/warren and others in the democratic ranks (not all, mostly just the olds) are outwardly hostile. they need to go.

on top of those concerns, i don't support these forever wa

Lol at this being anyone's main criteria in judging presidential candidates. I literally can't think of anything less important than that.

by housenuts P

which regulations will they remove? which shady crypto assets are you referring to?

Any and all.

I suppose that we all care disproportionately about stuff that we are directly involved in, but yeah, this doesn't crack the top 500 most important issues for me.

Any and all.

Would be unreal if they disbanded the SEC, removed the 1933 Securities Act and 1934 Exchange Act, the Bank Secrecy Act... Dare to dream I guess.

Sure, let's go back to the way things were before they led to the Great Depression.

Do you want to repeal all of the 33 Act and 34 Act, or just the anti-fraud provisions?

Ha I'm sure there's lots that could be repealed. Giant waste of taxpayer dollars. Fraud is a good catch all and don't really need the SEC for that. Fraud is still fraud.

For what it's worth, Troll is the one that suggested GOP intends to remove all of this. Not me. Curious why they didn't do it in Trump's previous term. I guess too many obstacles.

you wanna bail the banks out again?

you wanna bail the banks out again?

1000% no

For most people, cognitive decline is a private tragedy, scarring loved ones but few others. When it afflicts political leaders, the damage can be catastrophic. Paul von Hindenburg, Germany’s president in 1933, was no fan of Adolf Hitler but let him become chancellor to break a political stalemate. Some historians blame this epic misjudgment on the fact that he was 85, exhausted and perhaps suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Biden needs to step down now.

We've all been living that lifestyle ever since Glass-Steagall was repealed.

And that caused a lot of problems, especially around 2008. But this guy wants to repeal all of the other banking regulations as well.

u dont think with many such regulations and agencies , fraud in stock trading wouldnt even be easier ?
i guess my memory about the 1929 crash is out of date.

Making the president immune from all criminal charges is a pretty Fascist policy, IMO.

now you think the supreme court is fascist?

by housenuts P

Ok lets talk about what actually happened. 518 American politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, including Joe Biden, not including Donald Trump, supported starting the war in Afghanistan. 1 person, a democrat from California, did not.

so i guess the odds of only 1 politician in all of them voting against it, trump if he was a politician then he would be the second one to vote against ?

Trump was easily bring in war speech against north korea at one point remember ?
to think trump is a peace man is pretty funny.

by rickroll P

now you think the supreme court is fascist?

would u consider possible a court or a person allowing fascism to come in to be a fascist ?

Fascism is an ill defined term and it doesn’t matter that much if you stick it onto Trump.

Pure policy wise, Trump would be better for me and he did some stuff I agree with, though I would still prefer a Dem. I didn't care when he beat Hillary.

But the dude has made it abundantly clear that he wants absolute power and to do tremendous damage to our already crappy system. Like cramming the judiciary with unqualified morons loyal to his idiotic world view.

Maybe our system needs to collapse so it can be rebuilt, but it’s silly to pretend Trump is just a normal Republican.

by rickroll P

now you think the supreme court is fascist?

The Supreme Court that’s been lying about taking bribes ?

by PointlessWords P

The Supreme Court that’s been lying about taking bribes ?

do you honestly think the definition of a fascist is someone who takes a bribe?

if you take bribes exclusively from fascists, then yes

by rickroll P

do you honestly think the definition of a fascist is someone who takes a bribe?

Saying I think the Supreme Court is facist , partially due to them taking bribes and lying about it while giving beneficial ruling toward the people bribing them

I did not say anything about the definition of fascist. I certainly didn’t say anywhere that’s the definition of fascist is someone that take a bribe

Did you honestly think I wrote that?

by housenuts P

Source?

Quoting a random post because of time but what is your opinion on Bernie over Biden?

I lean right in a few areas and I'd snap vote for Bernie over Trump - I actually think he'd be a good prez and I like a lot of his middle class proposals. The media absolutely tarnished his reputation because of his anti corporate takes, who are the ones funding the slander against him. He is also a freedom loving guy.

yes, that's exactly what you wrote, your failure to understand there's a topic of discussion we're having is not our fault

Pretty sure "fascism" is defined as "anything I don't like." Sure seems that way around here, with how the word is thrown around without any regard for its actual meaning.
