California isnt a dumpster fire but they were faced with some credible issues and a large deficit going into 2024 that Newsome was, at least to a degree, responsible for creating - but hes also done some good things as of late that i think will help things a bit.

But more importantly, AI advancements and the gains in the stock market played the largest role in California's improvements in the last year.

Im kind of curious of the good things Gavin's done

Reduced homelessness ?
Delivered on his promise for Universal Healthcare?
Reduced Crime?
Reduced red tape?
Cut taxes?

If we actually got hit with a credible recession in 2023, california would have gotten rekt a lot more than other states, relatively speaking.

Is he hated nationally? I know the dumpster fire he's turned California into, but is the rest of the country aware of how bad he is?

I've never liked centrist Democrat Gruesome Gavin, but California is not a "dumpster fire" relative to the rest of our rotten country.

States like Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Kansas, and places like Appalachia, the rural West, etc., are at the rock bottom of basically every standard-of-life metric, yet somehow, they don't receive even 5% of the negative attention from conservatives that California does.

You reactionary types like to respond to these facts by posting scary videos of the worst parts of major Californian cities while ignoring the fact that your red areas are ghost towns because they have similar levels of poverty and crime per capita but don't offer the good stuff California does.

nelson mandela was a convict as well, he also polled better than biden

That’s true .
Now if you believe an apartheid regime is a good representation of « justice » it’s fine .
But I wouldn’t trust an apartheid judicial system regime over the American justice .
I think one is more reliable then the other .

But the most interesting point point to your analogy is Mandela got condemn for trying to overthrow a bad political regime while trump didn’t get condemn for trying to overthrow a good political regime .
Trump him got immunity for it lol .
Maybe it’s a sign how trump and maga is bad for the American justice
Amazing isn’t it .

California is the 5th largest economy in the world, and has been so for 7 consecutive years. The rest of the country would love to be on fire like that.

yeah i mean it's like Karl said. the actual dumpster fire states are mississippi, arkansas, oklahoma, alabama, louisiana... wonder what they all have in common.

Terrible geographic location.

Terrible geographic location.

Yeah, right in the epicentre of a bunch of hillbilly republicans.

Yes I guess neveda and Alaska are very lucky for example .

Dubai too .

I bet if you look at most countries, the inland states/provinces are the worst off economically.

You're leaving out some rust belt states with liberal cities. Check out niagara falls ny, flint Michigan, st louis or Jamestown ny. Similar to the states you mentioned all of these places are in a bad geographic location . Shitty areas in America definitely aren't specific to one political party or another.

shitty states certainly are.

by Slighted P

shitty states certainly are.

Is your view that shitty states in undesirable locations become booming metropolises with increased GDP if they ride the blue curtain?

The latest reason California is a “dumpster fire” is because they passed policy protecting LGBTQ people from a 1984 style reporting system

my view is that these states deregulated and tax cut themselves bankrupt while their republican governments corruptly sold them out for "lobbying" money. then after they striped them of all value they stay in power by launching culture war bullshit to rile up the bigots.

sure you can use the "undesriable locations" bit with places like oklahoma and arkansas i guess. but mississippi, louisiana, and alabama aren't really in "undesirable locations". they all have access to the gulf. they aren't in any worse location than texas and all have better climates for economic growth.

eta- it's been a running joke in oklahoma that the "teacher of the year" award is how you get promoted out of oklahoma into a better state, because they all immediately leave, mostly for texas which has some of the same policies but is "too big to fail" like the others, unless there is a little bit of ice or cold....

have you ever heard of this thing called World War 2? or the Cold War?

free education is what I do! enjoy!

Yes, I know about WW2 and the Cold War. What does that have to do with my asking what race Russians are?

Your link is about the FBI showing up at someone's house. You stated that "American companies will bust down your door". The FBI is a law enforcement agency, not an "American company".

the video of Covid Joe going up Air Force One steps was not great.

Mongidig is right, what we need now is unity. Biden should go meet with Trump mano a mano to reconcile their differences. Lots of handshakes and hugs. #Unity
