Yes - he isn't about to endorse a nominee that can win. All up to the delegates to make the right call - open convention and let all candidates put up their hand. Harris has the slight edge with Biden's backing but it should be made an open race.
Agreed. I want to see some kind of openness. The DNC unfairly elevated Hillary over Bernie. They need to make this more fair. I think Bernie would have beat Trump in 2016.

I haven't seen the letter but I think Biden needs to be honest about the reason he is stepping aside and if it is based on (new) medical evidence that he would not be fit enough to serve out a 4 year term - the republicans will now argue that the 25th amendment should be invoked and this will become Biden's new challenge to ward that off - I would not have him do anymore campaigning. Let him just focus on Republican threats to dethrone him from president which he will have to put his total energy towards because he, Harris and the dems know that I think this is only step 1 for possibly a completely new ticket to come from the convention.

the primary news independents saw after the announcement was Vance calling Trump a modern day Hitler, Vance referring to Trump as cultural heroin (which is a huge putdown when you think of the opioid crisis which runs through his book Hillbilly Elegy), and numerous other unflattering documented comments he made about Trump. independents hear this and then see him carrying Trump's water and paint him as the spineless sap that he is

Biden is unfit now. You did see the debate right? And it wasn't just "a bad night." But even if he's unfit I don't see the harm in him finishing his term. He's been a puppet for a while now and a couple more months won't hurt.

Obama left the dems in debt. H Dawg rescued them by putting them on an allowance. The trade off was H Dawg got to control the party's $$$$, strategy, $$$$, communications director, $$$$$, and make all final staff decisions. And $$$$$$. The DNC had to consult with H Dawg about everything that mattered.
