2024 Fantasy Football Thread

Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.

But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.

Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.

What do we like and not like?

Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

Yeah at this point I'm going to keep drafting Rice where I can.

Pretty sure it's impossible to draft enough of him now that I would be dead should be he suspended when the season starts.

I'm doing the same. He may be a cheat code this year. I could see him get 10-15 targets a game. A bunch of long hand offs. He may be unstoppable with Xavier and Hollywood opening things up underneath. I replaced Kelce with Rice where I used to do the Kelce/Mahomes thing at the 3/4 turn.

omg malik washington is so tiny

5 8 and 190 on his RAS.

At pick 91 and I currently have 4 WRs

Do I take one of the 3 at really great value, or do I go with Sutton who correlates with my Burrow/Chase/Higgins stack?

Those top 3 have so much more upside than Sutton. Don’t think it’s worth the w17 correlation.

Well I went with Sutton.

Luckily all 3 were still available on the turn so I was able to get JSN as well.

I think I take Brian Thomas jr of that group . His ceiling is humongous .

From 1.06

I really wish I had a better RB2. Could have taken Jacobs over Higgins, Walker over McBride, or Javonte over Sutton.

QB - Burrow, Geno, Fields

RB - JT, Dowdle, Corum, Allgeier, Shipley, Steele

WR - Chase, DJM, Higgins, Ridley, Sutton, JSN, LMC, Burton, Roman

TE - McBride, Fant

JSN gives me access to Geno

He’s my highest owned WR. Only 18%, but that’s a lot of teams over my volume.

Yeah, think either the Sutton or JSN picks are better as RB.

I don’t have that much of him . 11% but I like him alot .

You cannot stop an Isaac Guerendo. You can only hope to contain him.

Brutal.

My favorite value of 2024 is Trevor Lawrence. I think he has a career year. He's out of the top 12 for QB everywhere. Stack T-Law/Etienne.

I’m not sure if I’d call him my favorite value but I definitely think Tlaw is being way underrated as both a fantasy qb and real life qb

I wish I had more Trevor given my BTJ stand. Only around 6%.

Not a fade. Just a structure thing.

Trevor is an average IRL QB, and I don't think he'll live up to the hype or his contract.

But I do like him a lot for fantasy.

I only have 7% for the same reason. It’s hard to get a lot of any qb my highest ownership qb is Jayden at 13% and then it’s a big cluster

He’s a fringe top 10-12 qb already with upside. A lot of underlying metrics have him as ~ 7th or 8th best qb…

3k puppys remaining. About to hopefully get in my remaining 4.

BJT by all accounts is looking like a fantastic pick in our league, Tarheels. Let's not forget Kirk is back too. Also my guy Ryan Flournoy will make Dallas' roster!

Do any of you guys have any shares in the myffpc leagues?

I don’t play FFPC, but a lot of the content creators I watch do. Seems like a fun format.

Well I believed in Goff my first year playing best ball he was going rd 16 n beyond back then when amon was a second year player .. my value for this year Russell Wilson everybody drafting fields with mike Tomlin he’s liable to never see a snap unless as a gadget ala kordell slash Stewart

Meanwhile Wilson is a fit for Arthur smith’s offense and if the line can improve over seasons time I easily see 24-29 td including some rushing tds ala Ryan tannehill
